Roastery origins

Quiet rituals and honest harvest origins

We roast twice a week in small batches, stamping harvest farm names and exact roast dates directly on every bag.

From kitchen to drum

Craft developed one batch at a time

Morrow began on a cast-iron skillet in a cold home kitchen. We wanted clean morning cups without the pretension, dense cupping jargon, or opaque warehouse storage common to commercial retail coffee.

Today, our cast drum roaster turns thirty pounds per cycle. We sample every incoming lot under morning light, adjusting heat curves by hand to preserve delicate floral and stone-fruit profiles.

Prompt dispatch

We partner directly with family farms across Oaxaca, Huila, and Yirgacheffe, sampling seasonal parchment lots before committing to seasonal imports.

Small test roasts reveal the exact caramelization window for each bean density, locking in natural sweetness without smoky over-roasting.

We roast Tuesdays and Fridays in thirty-pound batches, monitoring airflow and development time by sight, aroma, and audible crack.

Every bag is stamped with its roast date and farm origin, then boxed and shipped within twenty-four hours of cooling.

Direct farm transparency

Great coffee begins with fair pricing at the farm gate.

We bypass commodity brokers to pay smallholder growers well above fair-trade minimums. Transparent partnerships ensure sustainable soil stewardship, clean spring washing, and reliable livelihoods across every harvest cycle.
